Houghton to Receive Nader
Endorsement

Newark, DE: 2000 Green Party
presidential candidate, Ralph Nader, will endorse Vivian Houghton's bid
for the office of Delaware Attorney General at a Newark press conference
on Saturday, October 5th. Nader will be in Newark as part of
Democracy Rising's "People Have the Power" national appearances.
"I'm
delighted that Ralph Nader will be here to endorse my candidacy," said
Houghton. "Nader is a national hero of impeccable integrity. To
have him stump for me is a true honor."
In 2000, Houghton introduced Nader to
an audience of over 300 supporters at a fundraiser held at the 4th and
West Streets Wilmington Friends Meetinghouse. Nader is returning the
compliment by coming to Delaware.
Houghton's run for state Attorney
General, called "the most spirited race on the statewide ballot" by the
Delaware Law Weekly, has recently garnered other major endorsements
including those from the UAW CAP Council, representing approximately 7,000
auto workers, and the Delaware Coalition of Black Trade Unionists.
The 8:00 PM press conference will be
held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark, 420 Willa Road,
