Houghton to Speak at Rehoboth Fundraiser

Rehoboth:  Vivian Houghton, Green Party candidate for Delaware Attorney General, will address supporters and other interested people at a Rehoboth fundraiser Wednesday, September 25th.  In her address she is expected to speak to her major policy positions on the criminal justice system, civil rights, health care, and over-development. 

"I refuse to be a candidate who talks in sound-bites and opportunistic slogans.  In Rehoboth, a place where issues of diversity and development converge, I plan to clearly spell out some of the major issues that separate me from my opponents who would rather avoid or answer to the issues inadequately," said Ms. Houghton of the planned event.

Ivo Dominguez, Jr., Event Coordinator, said, "I strongly encourage support for Vivian Houghton in her campaign to be the Attorney General of Delaware.  Her platform alone is reason enough to support her, but if you take the time to meet her you will find that she has the spirit to fight the good fight that is often so lacking in politicians.  Vivian is a force for profound change."

The $100 per person fundraiser will be held at Celsius Restaurant, Wednesday, September 25, 2002, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  The Celsius Restaurant is located at 50 Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach.  Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Houghton campaign.
